Update

Zack is standing on his own. He will walk if we hold his hands, but not on his own yet. His third tooth is coming in. He's also sleeping through the night now! Hallelujah!!!

Josh is doing well at his school. He says the following words regularly now: Hi, Bye, No, Yeah. It really helps being able to communicate with him some. He says some other words but not often and not without prompting. He has switched to a twin bed. He had outgrown his toddler bed and refused to sleep in it for about a week until we replaced it. He's so big! :)

We went to Brandon's parent teacher conference yesterday. His teacher loves him. She says he's very sweet and eager to please. He is in the high reading group and is improving in his writing. He was already great at math and that has continued. Apparently he's grown out of his wiggly stage. In preschool and Kindergarten he had trouble sitting still and focusing but she says he's not like that at all now. I'm working on being more patient with him at home.

Keith sent me on a mommy vacation about 10 days ago. He suggest I get away for a couple of days. So I got a hotel room for one night at the beach. I packed up my sewing machine and some nail polish and took off. I did some quilting, gave myself a manicure and pedicure and walked on the beach. It was wonderful. I have an amazing husband.

Keith has been training engineers at work so he's been happy, but really busy. He has a few weeks left of that. He's been playing a game called Bioshock in his free time and when the kids aren't around.

Brandon's soccer season finishes up at the end of October. We plan on going to Eugene to visit the Barkers there the first weekend in November. He's had a lot of fun playing soccer.

I'm taking a business communication class online right now. I have tons of homework and so I tend to try and work on that when I sit down. Unless I get into avoidance mode where I don't want to do anything and end up wasting time on the computer. Well, that's us these days.

Mel, You left your quilting book here. Too bad for you, but good for me. I was going to call and get the name of it so I could purchase it. I think I need a vacation like that. Maybe I will think about it during my winter break.
