So I've been getting more and more into coupons and sale watching for groceries. Today I bought groceries and got $446 worth of groceries for $277.82. That's $168 in savings. I'm so excited. It's a complicated process but I'm learning more and saving more every time I go.

Civil War Game
The Oregon Civil War football game was last night. I can't believe how psyched up I got about it. It was a great game. I love watching Oregon play football. We won, which makes it the best. I think it is awfully sad whenever one of the players on either team gets hurt. One of the stars of the other team broke his leg last night. It's a very rough game, but still, ouch! I look forward to watching the Rose Bowl on New Year's Day and cheering for our awesome team!

Conference Quote
I've been reading the talks from the last General Conference and this paragraph struck me as important.
"I pray that we will do the best we can in our roles as spouses, parents, children, brothers and sisters; in our callings; in sharing the gospel; in rescuing those who have drifted; in working for the salvation of our ancestors; in our work; and in our daily lives."

Downtime
Lately I've been playing two Facebook games in my down time. I find them relaxing and fun and competitive. I'm ranked 4th amongst my friends that play in both right now.

I know it's silly, but I like it. Now you know.

Birthday
My birthday came. My birthday went. I had a small family gathering that was nice. I contemplated my mortality. I will do it again next year. Nuff said.

Zack decided to "read" scriptures and it was too cute not to share.

Brandon reads

He got bored and started reading to himself all on his own. This is brand new. He has always needed help before. I'm so excited for the new world opening up for him.

New project
I bought this kit from Connecting Threads and started working on it this weekend. It's going together really quick. I've done all the cutting and I've finished the diamond (square in a square) blocks.

Football

Just watched a great Oregon game. We beat the Husky's. I love watching Oregon football. I'm glad Masoli was well enough to play.

Movie
I just finished watching 27 Dresses. I know it's cheesy but I love that movie. All those dresses and the romance is so cute. Sigh.

Josh update
Josh's new school seems great. He is meeting his goals there and seems to be talking and interacting a bit more at home. We like his teachers and the setup and are so glad he has this opportunity. Thank goodness for the insurance that's paying for it.

Guild
I went to my quilt guild meeting tonight. It is always so fun. I helped hold up the quilts people brought in for show and tell. It's fun to see them up close and get to touch them. I also got to help my friend Barbara Brunson from Vanilla House Designs with her presentation to the guild. Mostly I tied aprons to dummies, but they are CUTE aprons. She gave a great presentation and it was tons of fun to have her there. I'm so glad to belong to my guild and happy to be making friends.

Nursery
We finally got to see some of our nursery kids today. Between illness and General Conference it has been a few weeks. We had 2 kids in class today. I think the other class had 3. To give you an idea of how much the bugs going around are affecting our numbers, before we split the classes we had 12-15 every week during the summer.
